Notes

“The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments: translated out of the original tongues; and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, by His Majesty’s special command,” published in 1830, represents a significant edition of the King James Version (KJV). This edition continues the tradition of the 1611 KJV, maintaining the meticulous translation and comparative review process to ensure accuracy and consistency. It embodies the linguistic and theological rigor of its predecessors, serving as a crucial text for both religious devotion and scholarly study in the early 19th century.
